I really can't believe we're only a few days away from celebrating our first wedding anniversary! Matthew said last year that it felt like it took forever to get to our wedding day, and I on the other hand thought it flew by. Today I'm sharing our photos from our actual engagement in Paris captured by our amazing photographers Michael & Carina.
I'm saving the best for last! This final day of The Path Workshop was absolutely out of a dream! People ask me what's the difference between digital and film and it's just the exquisite emotion that you can draw from it, there are so many more details and colors that we can pull.
Some people may say that you're absolutely crazy to take on a wedding the weekend before your very own. There was absolutely no way I wouldn't be there for Louisa & Murphy's big day. We met on a chilly evening at Starbucks and you know when you meet people and you just can't help but love them? That's these two. They're the type of people you can grab a beer or a glass of wine with and feel like you've known them forever. Their love story spans their time at Randolph-Macon and they met during their freshman year. Fast forward a few years later, they were on a hike in the Shenandoah Mountains and Murphy asked Louisa to marry him.
These two cuties Lynn & Charlotte were married on August 12th, 1967. My mom's dress was only $127 and they opened all of their gifts in the church basement in front of family and friends. Cards were kept as cherished memories, a beautiful photo album of their special day has been well preserved, and the gown adorned with lace has a tiny yellow hue to show the years that have passed by. The pearls that my dad gave my mom are still kept in the same box and they are only worn for special occasions.
This beautiful couple chose Old Town Alexandria as the backdrop to their beautiful fall wedding and they could've have had better weather. Jeannie and Chris are without a doubt one of the best couples that I've have the pleasure of getting to know.
I love that color has found it's way into wedding gowns and I pulled this shoot together in my hometown at The Canton Barn. The beautiful blue tones and rustic aesthetic of this 100 year old barn provided the perfect atmosphere.
Traveling is one of the things that I absolutely love! When our friends Corey and Jenni asked me to be their wedding photographer, we jumped on the chance to do their engagement session in Colorado! Don't miss this beautiful engagement session in Golden among the aspens and mountains! Such a dream session and such an amazing couple!
Meredith & Tyson are on the blog today! This gorgeous couple is action packed, they jump out of airplanes, Tyson is a pilot, they both went to the Air Force Academy and they are so in love! Check out their beautiful Washington DC LDS Temple Sealing Ceremony and Middleburg Virginia Ceremony & Reception!
