D.C. WAR MEMORIAL LGBTQ WEDDING
Wedding Venue: D.C. War Memorial - Washington, D.C
dan & eric
This DC War Memorial wedding was absolutely stunning! I can't even begin to tell you how happy my heart is for these two. I've known Dan for nine years now, we met while I was playing kickball and he was one of the sweetest people I had ever met. So when they asked me if I'd photograph their wedding, I immediately said yes! They planned out every single detail with their guests in mind. They wanted the entire weekend to be a family affair and to reflect them as a couple, and they totally nailed it. This blog post is a two parter ... we met the week before the wedding and did their formal portraits so they could get to their reception and enjoy spending time with their guests.
Dan & Eric did a TON of research. They knew exactly where they wanted to go for portraits and they picked the perfect iconic DC locations. These two made my job so easy! We got up early and I picked them up and we drove into DC and walked all over the city; from the Tidal Basin, to the DC War Memorial, and ending on the steps at the Supreme Court. We had an absolutely perfect day for portraits and I would do it all over again!
Dan & Eric's wedding day was absolutely perfect. There were a few rain drops, but it made the light that much more amazing for their ceremony at the DC War Memorial. Every part of their weekend was filled with events for friends and family and their ceremony even included their guests. The couple passed around their custom wedding rings and the guests were able to see the beautiful detail that each one had. Dan's beautiful daughters and Eric's parents helped the couple get ready and there was not a dry eye in the room. These two love their family and friends and you can tell that they are surrounded in love. This was just such an awesome day and I am beyond thankful that I was there to capture it. There is nothing better in the world than a couple finding love and celebrating it!
